IT Systems Trainer (Arlington, VA)

ARGIN Technologies LLC is an IT consulting company providing critical support to several federal agencies. As a Senior Instructor with our company, you will have the opportunity to be part of an elite Training Team providing technical instruction to the government.

Position Description and Requirements
As integral part of our team the Advanced Computer Systems Trainer will provide stand-up classroom training in Department-supported Microsoft curriculums, CompTIA curriculums, and proprietary platforms in support of government client programs. Instructors must be dynamic while on podium. Successful candidate is an MCT and able to provide training on any Microsoft Course that a Microsoft Certified Trainer is authorized to teach. Experience delivering classroom instruction is a must. Experience delivering virtual live training is desirable. This is a full time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Certifications & Experience Required:

  • A+, Net+, Security+, Cloud +, CTT+ (CompTIA)
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) - Enterprise Administrator Windows Server 2008. OR Microsoft Solutions Architect (MCSA), Server 2008.
  • MCITP - Enterprise Administrator Windows Server 2008 or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate MCSA Server 2008
  • MCITP, Enterprise Messaging Administrator on Exchange 2010
  • MCSA Windows Server 2012
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Messaging, includes: MCSA Windows Server 2012, Designing and Deploying Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 (70-345) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) Productivity
  • Current Microsoft Certified Trainer - MCT
  • Delivers Microsoft Official Curricula (MOC)
  • Familiar with Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, HyperV, or Citrix)
  • Special consideration given to candidates experienced teaching MS Server 2012, MS Exchange 2016, Windows 10, Net+, and Sec+,Cloud+.

In addition to the above, certification and experience must include one of the following:

  • CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional Instructor
  • Citrix Certified Professional-Virtualization (CCP-V)
  • VCAP VMWare Certified Advanced Professional
AND
Expertise in using imaging software
(such as Symantec Ghost), virtualization technologies (such as VMWare or Hyper-V) and hardware storage and backup technologies (such as NETAPP/Snap Protect)

Clearance required
Candidates must be clearable at the Secret Level

Location of position
Arlington, VA. Candidate must be able to travel overseas for a period of up to 3 weeks (frequency: 1-2 times per year).

General Duties

  1. Teach courses as assigned. Also be responsible for the classroom and online setup, which includes setting up computers, virtual labs, and instruction material, to include providing online access codes to students. In addition, prepare student evaluations to include performance and learning deficiencies. Conduct student counseling and recommend corrective action to ensure acceptable student performance.
  2. Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written, and be able to present state of the art training concepts and methodologies using Departmental delivery technology to students within the Department and other government agencies.
  3. Must have experience as an instructor in adult-oriented, technical training environment and comprehensive knowledge of training methods and behavior sciences associated with adult education instruction.
  4. Special Projects as required, to include but not limited to, attending special seminars and training, to gather information for exercise and curriculum development and presentations.
  5. Must have ability to consult with customers, analyze requirements, and develop, revise, and/or adapt instruction materials to meet the functional needs of Department employees.
  6. Update curricula and courseware for courses as required to meet industry and Agency standards.
  7. Design and participate in workshops, seminars, and review sessions both in person and online.
  8. Be the lead instructor in the development and revision of industry standard training. This may involve, among other issues, choosing the most appropriate COTS course material.
  9. Design online and classroom seminars and workshops to meet the needs of specialized users as needed.
  10. Provide one-on-one tutoring and review sessions for students from time-to-time to augment classroom and online training.
